Industrial Laminates and Composites

Last Updated: Friday May 17, 1996
alpic4.jpg Midwest Composites offers high pressure plastic composites composed of various base materials and thermosetting resins. High pressure laminates are commonly known as Micarta®, Bakelite®, Textolite®, Phenolite® and Spauldite®. Paper base grades range from those intended for mechanical applications to those having superior electrical properties. High temperature grades for resistance to heat and flame use fiberglass and asbestos fabrics. Other base materials, such as cotton cloth, provide extreme toughness, resistance to corrosion and high impact strength. Many grades are available depending on the application and your needs. Most materials are available in sheet, rod and tube. We can also provide you with custom fabricated parts to your specifications.
